Campus-Laboratory Collaborations Program

The University of California receives a fee from the Department of Energy for its management of Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) and Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). The Regents have approved the use of this fee for the bid & proposal costs associated with competing to manage Lawrence Livermore and Los Alamos National Laboratories.

As a result of the need to fund the writing and preparation of these proposals, significantly less funding is available to foster and support collaborative research efforts between the campuses and LLNL and LANL. This includes the Campus-Laboratory Collaborations (CLC) Program, and the Campus-Laboratory Exchange (CLE) Program.

Until the contract competition has been completed at Lawrence Livermore - estimated to be September 30, 2007 - no CLC or CLE collaborative research competitions will be conducted. The earliest anticipated call for proposals would be Spring 2008.
